Hey guys, I hope everyone has had a good summer and that things are going well!
I will admit that art has been rather slow for me lately. I graduated from college in May, had a death in the family and have been going through a rather pathetic existential crisis of sorts. It's all bullshit excuses I know, but it's taking me a bit longer than I would like to get stuff done.
I have been working on a few things though-- including a diptych s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr.c… , cd covers s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr.c… , some paintings and a project for a company that I can't really talk about at the moment due to confidentiality, so hopefully I will be able to share these with you fine folks soon.
However, since I haven't been focusing much of my attention on art lately, a lot of my energy has gone towards reading books on history and art surveys. Reading varied accounts of art interpretation has kind of got me thinking. Most of you only know me from my artwork as I am kinda shy/awkward/dork on the net, so I'm a bit interested-- what does my artwork tell you about myself or my personality? What do you like about my work, or hate about it? What would you be interested in seeing more of?
I'm really interested in hearing what you guys have to say! I stare at these things every day and most critique I get is based on execution rather than concept, so getting fresh insight from people who don't know me would be rather insightful, imo.
Also, I ordered a bunch of new art books for inspiration lately... among them being this beauty www.amazon.com/gp/product/3822… . I highly recommend that you check his work out, as he does everything I want to do in my art only better. xD

life update
Hi everyone, I apologize about the lack of art and being scarce lately.
I haven’t been feeling well for awhile now and recently ended up in the ER where it was discovered that I have ovarian cancer (Yes, I’m one of the lucky ones who gets this 40 years before it should ever have even become a concern for me).
Currently I’m recovering from surgery and going through chemo, so things are a little rough right now. Just wanted to check in and let everyone know what’s going on since I have been getting some concerned messages about my absence.

I will be there!
I will be tabling with Hero Complex Gallery and Bottleneck Gallery, doing signings at HCG on Thursday and Saturday from 10 AM - 1 PM. There will be two new print releases, which I am very excited to share, and I will be selling copies of The Hound and the Wolf, Princess Mononoke, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Seven Samurai.
Should be fun and very stoked about meeting everyone. Hope to see you there! :)

Hey guys! I hope everyone is doing well. I know submissions have been slow lately, but I have a lot planned and I can't wait to share new images with you guys.

First off, I want to thank everyone for all the feedback, comments and watches as the result of my DD. I haven't updated in awhile, but I hope you guys will stay around for new work.
I don't really have a lot of excuses for why I haven't posted in almost a year. I have been dealing with a lot of problems at home as of late which are not really worth getting into here... but long story short, I've been combating a bit of depression/an art existential crisis as well as moving three times within the past year due to personal issues. It has been a serious damper on my productivity, and the little art I have done has gone towards freelance work.
