Woooooow, just gorgeous! I absolutely love the colors here, all those greens and blues and the way you blend them in so well with the reds and browns~ and the underwater effect on those below is just really beautifully depicted~ <3

God, I want more of these. You're a genius.

Love.
Brilliance.

I don't really care for what you believe
So open up your fist or you won't receive

I envy you. Undoubtedly so.

How long did this take you, from concept to final?

uhm... I can't say for sure, really. All three concepts were thumb nailed the first week of school, and I sketched and inked one a week. The painting/marker-ing took about two and a half days each, I believe

Glorious. I love the trees. They have a lot of depth and feel very... woodsy. :)

Do you ink your work before or after colours?

I lay down the inks before I color, but ink again on top once more after the paint dries to make the blacks more vibrant. : ) So both, I suppose
:iconwheresmytea:
Do you ever find with that technique that you get too much contrast between the lines and what's inside them? I don't see that in your art, but it happens to me when I least desire it.

:iconclassic-syndrome:
do you mean that the colors inside of the lines are drowned out by the ink?

I never have this problem, but part of that might be because I work with a rather dark palette. Have you ever tried inking with maybe brown or dark blue ink? Sometimes I find that changing the color of the ink helps bring out the colors and makes the line-work less apparent
:iconwheresmytea:
Yeah that's been my problem. I think you're right- my pallette is usually lighter. Changing the outline colours would probably help. Thanks! Now I can experiment.

...once midterms are over. D:
