matriarchy by classic-syndrome matriarchy by classic-syndrome
just a take on the capitoline wolf.

I painted this traditionally in watercolor and gouache, but had a meltdown and now it is a giant gouache-y blob. I had a picture on my phone however, so tried to salvage it.

The myth of the Capitoline Wolf is the founding of Rome.

Oh wooow, fascinating take on it! LOVE the textures in the fur and those legs, and all the rolls of baby fat~ I take it this is the pre-gouache version?

It's still watercolor and gouache, it's just the version before... I stupidly decided to apply a glaze over gouache. : |
